Raymond John Hort, 63, died March 22, 2011 at his daughters home after a long fight with Cancer. Born in Germany to John and Helga Hort. He was retired from the Air Force and The City of Albuquerque where he made many friends and memories. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, wood working, being with family and living in New Mexico where he’s been a resident most of his life living in Edgewood since 1989. He was predeceased by his daughter Gina Goodson of Virginia. He is survived by his parents of McIntosh, NM, brother William Hort of Edgewood, NM, children Tracy of Albuquerque, NM and Timothy of San Diego, CA as well as numerous grandchildren, and many other loved family members. He will be greatly missed and always remembered. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 2:00 pm at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Edgewood, NM.

This obituary is what was in the papers, I'm not sure who wrote it up:
Raymond J. Hort, 63, “wonderful daddy, special Pappap, and son” as well as a Vietnam Vet, Ray died March 22. He was survived by his daughter Tracy and her son Tyler; niece Morgan; son Tim and his wife Lucy and their children Hayley and Alexander; his parents John and Helga Hort; brother Bill Hort and his children Christen, Ashley, and Dylan; many other family and friends also survive him. A memorial service will be held on April 20 at 2 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Edgewood.
